NOTICE OF GOVERNING BOARD MEETING
and
501(c)(3) ANNUAL PLANNING MEETING
for
Head Start of Lincoln County, Community Housing Services, H.E.L.P.S., and Linn Benton Food Share

Community Services Consortium will hold a Governing Board meeting to hear comments regarding the proposed FY13-14 operating budget as well as the annual planning and proposed FY13-14 budgets for Head Start of Lincoln County, Community Housing Services, Housing Employment and Learning Programs For Self-Sufficiency (H.E.L.P.S.), and Linn Benton Food Share 501(c)(3)s.

The combined meeting will take place at 2:00 p.m., June 24, 2013, at the CSC Corvallis office, 545 SW 2nd Street, Ste A, 2nd floor.  The meeting is open to the public; all interested persons are welcome to attend.

The budget document is available for public inspection and can be obtained from the CSC Albany office located in the Two Rivers Market, 250 Broadalbin St. SW, Ste 2A, after May 31st, 2013 or email request to djackson@communityservices.us.

Community Services Consortium will hold a Budget Committee meeting to hear comments regarding the proposed FY13-14 operating budget as well as the annual planning and proposed FY13-14 budgets for Head Start of Lincoln County, Community Housing Services, Housing Employment and Learning Programs For Self-Sufficiency (H.E.L.P.S.), and Linn Benton Food Share 501 (c)(3)s.

The Board of Community Housing Services hereby gives notice of a

Special Meeting to be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 3 p.m.

at the CSC Albany offices at 250 Broadalbin St. SW, #2A, Albany, OR.

This Special Meeting is called to amend the by-laws of the organization.

The purpose of the amendments to the by-laws is to ensure that Community Housing Services (CHS) retains HUD eligibility to participate in certain types of housing grant funding and programs.  HUD does not allow government representatives to comprise a majority of board members.

Accordingly, the by-law amendments would change the board from the current composition (9 elected county commissioners, three each from Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties) to a board of 7 directors consisting of:

a) one commissioner appointed by each of the three counties; and,
b) 4 four At-Large representatives; one from each county and one from any of the three counties.

Commissioner representatives would be chosen by the Commissioners from the county they were to represent.  At-Large representatives would be elected by the board.

The bylaws would be amended as required to make this change in number, composition, quorum, and method of election to the board, including changes to Articles IV, V, VI and VII. *
